"The Entry Point" by Psychema

OVERALL SCORE: 4.21 / 5.00

Psychema has put together a very solid debut release with "The Entry Point" - this is an album that will ultimately make my personal regular playlist for years to come. I have thoroughly enjoyed every second of this album. Starting off with a very rare (these days), yet very nostalgic "intro track," Psychema begins to dull your senses and slowly wipe away the outside world with the title track of the album. The track "You" adds to their illustrious build up.

"The Dividing Line" by Blind Stare

OVERALL SCORE: 3.51 / 5.00

"The Dividing Line" by Blind Stare is a great work of power/progressive/melodic metal artwork. I loved listening to every second of the album. The album is a nice break from a lot of different metal bands that tend to bludgeon you with blast beats and double bass. Not to knock the styling by any means, but it is definitely nice to have a bit of a change every now and then.

"Resolution" by Lamb of God

OVERALL SCORE: 2.87 / 5.00

I've never been one of the biggest Lamb of God fans in the world. I've heard a couple albums, and seen them live at a couple festivals. That's about where it typically ends for me though...

"Carnal Demise" by Carnal Demise

OVERALL SCORE: 3.18 / 5.00

Carnal Demise has released a very solid debut album. I would certainly look forward to future releases from this Finnish act. The album is very solid, and very melodic. It is very well-written, tight, and well-produced. However, it seems to be lacking a certain something. As a listener, I'm not quite sure what. I have given it multiple listens, and am quite satisfied with the disc.

Today, we’ll be going over the 5 track EP/album “Corridors” by the band Fractals. Overall, the album is a solid 20 minute listen. Although the recording is far from groundbreaking, it is also far from being a novice release by semi-talented fans of mediocre music.

"Down IV Part 1 - The Purple EP" (Down) (Review)

Listen/Buy Album
"People are calling it 'The Purple EP,' but I had nothing to do with that," he says. "Left that totally up to..,the press, to the fans. I left it up to everybody else. Call it what the f*** you want, and we'll move on from there. I honestly don't care. I don't know what the next one's going to be called, if anything. The music speaks for itself."
Yes, another installment to the epic saga that is DOWN is set to be released September 18!

“White Hoarhound” – by Alunah. After spending the greater majority of the year waiting for the newest noise out of Britain, it is finally here! It has been quite a while since I have personally anticipated a sophomore release with so longingly. But, having been given the great fortune of randomly stumbling upon “Call of Avernus,” I was more than ready to give the newest Alunah composition a listen.

Wrathgate - Demo EP (Review)

BAND:
 Wrathgate
ALBUM: "Demo EP"
Listen/Buy Album
YEAR RELEASED: 2012
RECORD LABEL: none
ALBUM TYPE: EP
* * * * * * * (7 out of 10 stars)

Wrathgate is a metal band from Tucson, AZ. Naturally one would think 339metal to be biased towards any metal band out of Arizona's Sonoran desert. This is not the case.

From the first time I heard Wrathgate on their Facebook page, I knew that this was a band that I would follow, as long as they keep releasing material. I thoroughly enjoyed the sounds I'd heard. However, we'll

I turned on my laptop. I found this EP. I pressed play. I pooped myself.

Ok, so in the world of metal, there seems to be a definite "Berlin Wall-esque" dividing point between the above ground and the underground. I've spent many years attempting to destroy this wall. Apparently, so

ALBUM: "Next step can only be supposed"
Listen/Buy Album
YEAR RELEASED: 2006
RECORD LABEL: none
ALBUM TYPE: EP

Listening to Digression assassins can typically be summed up by the phrase "auditory anarchy." This EP is an early release by the Swedish boys from across the pond. Nice gents to work with, and even nicer licks to graze your ears with.

The album starts off as a complete explosion of sounds; shredding guitars, blasting drums, and screams from the front man that leave you
