"Carnal Demise" by Carnal Demise

OVERALL SCORE: 3.18 / 5.00

Carnal Demise has released a very solid debut album. I would certainly look forward to future releases from this Finnish act. The album is very solid, and very melodic. It is very well-written, tight, and well-produced. However, it seems to be lacking a certain something. As a listener, I'm not quite sure what. I have given it multiple listens, and am quite satisfied with the disc.

If you are a fan of Dark Tranquility or similar bands of the Gothenburg sound, you will enjoy this recording. A must have for any melodic metal collection to add a bit of an "in your face" attitude not typically found in melodic metal. I'm happy to have heard the album and look forward to many more great composition from Carnal Demise.

Released through Inverse Records - Release year: 2012

NOTABLE TRACKS: Flatline Fever, Dead End Stare, The Pulse of the Dead, True Fallacy
